Where the rugs come from

One town has been weaving these for four hundred years.

Bhadohi sits on the Ganges plain in Uttar Pradesh. Almost every street has a loom behind it, and most of the skill is handed down inside families rather than taught in a school.

Hamisha Industries LLP works directly with those units — several of them run by people we have known for years — instead of buying through a chain of middlemen. That means we can walk into the shed, look at the warp on the loom, and answer a buyer's question the same day. Our founder is based in the UAE, so orders for the Gulf are handled in the same time zone as the buyer.

What we make

Ten constructions, one library.

Construction is the first thing a buyer picks — it decides the price, the lead time and how the rug will wear. Everything below is available as a stock design or remade to your size, shade and artwork.

Not styled, not staged. These are photographs taken on the floor of a partner unit in Bhadohi the morning the pieces came off the loom, fringe still untrimmed.

How an order moves

From your sketch to your warehouse.

Seven stages, in this order. You approve at stage four and again at stage six — nothing goes on a container without your sign-off.

Start an order
01

Design

Send a sketch, a photo, a mood board or a competitor's product. We draw it up as a weavable design.

02

Sizing

Standard sizes or any dimension you need, including runners, rounds and odd-shaped pieces.

03

Shade & fibre

Pick from wool, viscose, cotton, jute, leather or blends, and match shades against physical pompoms.

04

Artwork approval

You see the final artwork and a strike-off before a single knot is tied. Nothing starts until you say yes.

05

Weaving

The order goes to the unit best suited to that construction. We send progress photographs from the loom.

06

Inspection

Every piece is checked for size, shade, pile height, backing and finishing before it is packed.

07

Export & delivery

Packing, documentation and freight to your port or door, with tracking from the day it leaves Bhadohi.
