Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh · India
We source hand-knotted, hand-tufted and flatweave rugs from weaving families in Bhadohi and ship them to buyers in the United States, Europe, Australia and the Gulf.
Where the rugs come from
Bhadohi sits on the Ganges plain in Uttar Pradesh. Almost every street has a loom behind it, and most of the skill is handed down inside families rather than taught in a school.
Hamisha Industries LLP works directly with those units — several of them run by people we have known for years — instead of buying through a chain of middlemen. That means we can walk into the shed, look at the warp on the loom, and answer a buyer's question the same day. Our founder is based in the UAE, so orders for the Gulf are handled in the same time zone as the buyer.
How we work
What we make
Construction is the first thing a buyer picks — it decides the price, the lead time and how the rug will wear. Everything below is available as a stock design or remade to your size, shade and artwork.
Every knot tied onto the loom by hand. Knot density sets the level of detail. The slowest thing we sell and the longest-lived.
52 designs
Wool punched through a stretched canvas, then backed and sheared. Plush underfoot, quicker to produce, easier on a budget.
16 designs
Flatweave with no pile, reversible, in cotton, wool or jute. The largest part of our library and the easiest to ship in volume.
98 designs
One colour, edge to edge, in dyed wool. For rooms where the floor should stay quiet and the furniture should talk.
9 shades
Plain kilim flatweave in a single shade, woven on traditional looms. Hard-wearing and made to be layered.
7 shades
Hide strips cut and stitched into geometric fields. Dense, wipes clean, holds up in a hallway or a hotel lobby.
18 designs
Tufted animal shapes cut to outline — elephants, lions, giraffes — for nurseries and children's rooms.
9 designs
Jungle scenes, soft blobs and cut-out shapes in tufted wool. Bright colour, low pile, easy to vacuum.
9 designs
Woven panels on a wooden dowel with long fringe. They warm a wall, and they take the echo out of a hard room.
8 designs
Woven and tufted covers in the same yarns as the floor, so a room can be ordered as one set.
18 designsStraight from the shed
Not styled, not staged. These are photographs taken on the floor of a partner unit in Bhadohi the morning the pieces came off the loom, fringe still untrimmed.
How an order moves
Seven stages, in this order. You approve at stage four and again at stage six — nothing goes on a container without your sign-off.
Start an orderSend a sketch, a photo, a mood board or a competitor's product. We draw it up as a weavable design.
Standard sizes or any dimension you need, including runners, rounds and odd-shaped pieces.
Pick from wool, viscose, cotton, jute, leather or blends, and match shades against physical pompoms.
You see the final artwork and a strike-off before a single knot is tied. Nothing starts until you say yes.
The order goes to the unit best suited to that construction. We send progress photographs from the loom.
Every piece is checked for size, shade, pile height, backing and finishing before it is packed.
Packing, documentation and freight to your port or door, with tracking from the day it leaves Bhadohi.
Who we ship to
Whether you are an importer taking a full container or a studio ordering ten pieces for one project, the same person answers your email from first sample to final shipment.
