About us
Hamisha Industries LLP is registered in India and run from the UAE. We buy where the rugs are made, and we answer to the buyer who receives them.
Who we are
Our founder lives and works in the United Arab Emirates, and has done so for years. The weaving side of the business comes from the other half of the story: friends and relatives who run manufacturing units in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh — the town that supplies a large share of India's handmade rug exports.
That relationship is the whole point of the company. It means we are not placing blind orders through an agent. We know whose loom a piece is on, what that unit is genuinely good at, and whether a lead time is realistic before we quote it to you.
On the buyer's side, being based in the Gulf means Gulf and European clients get replies inside their own working day, while the production side stays close to the weavers.
Our office is at Chunar in Mirzapur, where quotations, documentation and export paperwork are handled. The rugs themselves are woven in Bhadohi, about an hour away, in the units we have known for years.
What we hold ourselves to
If a rug is hand-tufted we call it hand-tufted, not hand-made-to-look-knotted. You get the construction you paid for, and the specification sheet says exactly what is in it.
SpecificationSize, shade against the approved strike-off, pile height, backing, binding and fringe. Every piece, every order — not a sample from the top of the pile.
InspectionAdult weavers, paid on agreed rates, in units we visit. We would rather lose a price war than win one on somebody else's wages.
SourcingRegistrations & credentials
Handmade goods cross borders on documents as much as on ships. These are ours — copies go to any buyer who asks, before the first order.
Hamisha Industries LLP is registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, as a Limited Liability Partnership.
Import Export Code issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade. No Indian company can legally export without it.
Registered member of the Carpet Export Promotion Council, India's apex body for handmade carpet exports.
Registered on the government's Udyam portal, which qualifies us for India's export incentive schemes.
Exports from India are zero-rated for GST, so tax is refundable rather than passed on to you in the price.
Under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, our buyers in the UAE receive preferential tariff rates.
Registration numbers and scanned certificates are sent with our company profile on request — email exports@hamishaindustries.com.
How we work
You approve at stage four and again at stage six. Nothing is loaded without your sign-off.
A sketch, a photograph, a Pinterest board or a rug you already sell. We redraw it as a design a loom can actually follow.
Standard sizes, runners, rounds, or a dimension measured off your client's floor. Sizing is set before shade so the pattern scales correctly.
Wool, viscose, cotton, jute, leather or a blend. Shades are matched against physical wool pompoms, not a screen.
You get the final artwork and, where the order justifies it, a woven strike-off. Production does not begin until you confirm.
The order goes to the unit best suited to that construction and size. We send progress photographs from the loom on request.
Full quality check against the approved sample, then washing, clipping, binding and finishing before packing.
Packing, export documentation and freight to your port or door. For project work we can arrange delivery and laying at site.
Who we sell to
Some clients take a container of one flatweave design. Others order twelve bespoke pieces for a single villa. Both get the same process.
